Since the start of his career, Charlie has carried out over 100 workplace noise assessments. These have involved a wide range of industries. The one which comes up time and time again is wood working, from sawmills through to pallet making and other manufacturing joinery. We have also carried out many assessments for metal working companies, printers, and, rather curiously, laundries. Finally, in the list of industries with which we have a good deal of experience,are meat and other food processors. Unusually, and at times verging on the bizarre, Charlie has also carried out assessments in a night-club, slaughterhouse, machine gun re-conditioning shop, bowling alley, oil pipe laying ship, and back-stage for Scottish Opera.

Most of this type of work is carried out in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and across the central belt, but Charlie has carried out assessments as far north as the Orkney Islands, and as far south as Gateshead in the north-east of England.
